An online course for anyone working in a textiles studio/classroom, which includes a level 2 accreditation through CIEH (Chartered Institute for Environmental Health).
Teaching textiles is both a challenging and exciting experience for students, but it is imperative that textiles activities take place in a safe and secure environment. Best practice comes from staff who are knowledgeable about relevant aspects of Health and Safety and who feel confident in managing and maintaining a healthy and safe workplace for both their students and staff.
Staff should be able to identify hazards and assess risks, and quickly determine how best to minimise, remove, or control such risks within the teaching environment.
